ASHEVILLE, N.C. (News Release) — Burial Beer Co. is excited to announce that the 8th Annual Burnpile Harvest Fest will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Burial – Forestry Camp location which is home to the brewery’s production facility, sour and wild barrel house, and brewpub. This year marks the return of the full Burnpile tasting experience with beers from over 50 of the best breweries in the country, live music from the likes of Grip, Deserta, and Expo Seventy, “Off Topic” conversations ranging from “Leadership in Craft Beer – how gender roles influence how we lead” to “Music and Craft Beer – The flow of inspiration – a conversation on collaboration with Grip and other musical collaborators”, and new collaboration beer and vinyl release with Expo Seventy and Unseen Creatures Brewing & Blending.
The event begins at 12PM for VIP ticket holders and 1PM for General Admission and Concert Goers ticket holders. Live music will kick off at 1:00PM with the shoe-gazy sounds of Deserta, followed by Atlanta-based rapper Grip and psychadelic trio Expo Seventy. Please see below for a full list of breweries. Burnpile began over 10 years ago amongst a group of friends in Seattle who came together to celebrate changes in life and seasons with food shared alongside harvest-inspired beers. After moving to Asheville to open Burial in 2013, owners, Doug, Tim and Jess carried on the tradition at the Burial South Slope taproom with their new Asheville community and a burgeoning list of breweries from across North Carolina. Burnpile grew year after year and, in 2019, Burial hosted the first Burnpile at the newly renovated, sprawling 2-acre Burial – Forestry Camp property with 50 breweries and live music from Beach Fossils, A Place to Bury Strangers, and LA Witch.
This year, ticket tiers will include VIP ($125), General Admission ($65) and Concert Goer ($40). VIP tickets are limited and provide guests with early access to the event, an exclusive VIP Off Topic during VIP hour, food tokens and 2 Burial Burnpile exclusive release bottles, in addition to unlimited access to over 50 breweries and live music from Deserta, Grip, and Expo Seventy. General Admission ticket holders will also have access to the unlimited tasting experience and live music line up as well as two Off Topics that will take place on the stage. For those who are there for the music, Concert Goer tickets are available and do not include the unlimited tasting.
However, all guests will have access to a Burial can and wine bar for individual pours of beer and wine. These beverages are not included in the ticket price but can be purchased for an additional cost. As always, we will carry on the tradition of a full event Underberg Toast to kick off the festivities.
