CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte family is desperately searching for their missing daughter. 14-year-old Savannah Smith walked away from her bus stop Monday morning and disappeared.
Her family believes an unknown predator used social media to befriend her, and lure her away. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating the girl’s disappearance.
Her parents say they became concerned when their daughter started spending so much time on her phone.
“I mean, you lived in my house for a year, and I didn’t know nothing. All I know is that you were on the internet,” says Levi Smith, Savannah’s father.
“You can come home, and not worry about any consequences. Just come home,” says Marquittia Hopkins, Savannah’s mother.
Savannah has a medical condition and needs to take medication.
