WCCB sources have confirmed that Officer Herrera died due to COVID-19 complications.
The funeral service for CMPD Officer Herrera will be held on Monday, October 11th at First Baptist Church on South Davidson Street starting at 10 a.m.
The Herrera family is asking the media to refrain from bringing in recording equipment into the church during the service.

Students and teachers who arrive at school after this time will be asked to enter campus through the Society Street entrance and park in the bus lot.
Ardrey Kell will also operate on an early release schedule.
