CMPD Investigates Officer-Involved Shooting In South Charlotte, Stretch Of Tyvola Road Shut Down

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Thursday in south Charlotte.

Although little information has been released regarding the incident, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed that at least one of their officers was involved in the shooting.

Tyvola Road is closed in both directions, as detectives continue their investigation on Tyvola Road, near the intersection of South Boulevard, according to a news release.
