Deputies Investigate Deadly Skydiving Accident in Chester Co.





CHESTER CO., S.C. – Deputies are investigating a deadly skydiving accident in Chester County.

Investigators say an elderly man, who was an experienced jumper, had a fatal accident near Skydive Carolina, just after 12:30 on Saturday afternoon.

He landed at James F. Wherry and Darby Road.

His name hasn’t been released.

This marks the sixth death at Skydive Carolina in the past eight years.
