Deputies: Pilot Injured After Plane Crashes Into Tree In Union County

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A pilot suffered injuries after a plane crashed into a tree in Union County Monday morning, officials say.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office said that the pilot ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Deputies stated in a tweet that they were at the scene at the Goose Creek Airport off of Lawyers Road, where an aircraft emergency took place earlier this morning. Deputies say the injuries sustained by the pilot are minor from the emergency.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
