Deputies Search For Persons Responsible For Shooting Several Goats & Chickens At A High School In Chesterfield County

PAGELAND, S.C. — Deputies with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office have opened an investigation to find the person or persons responsible for shooting several goats and chickens on the property of an area high school Thanksgiving morning.

Sheriff James Dixon says some of the animals from the Future Farmers of America and agriculture class at Central High School in Pageland, S.C. got out of their pen on Wednesday.

Sheriff Dixon says between the animals escaping around 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 24th and Thanksgiving morning, someone went onto the property of Central High School and shot several goats and chickens.

Police ask anyone who saw someone leaving the school or anyone who has more information on this case to call Sheriff Dixon at 843-287-0235.
