CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are investigating a fatal head-on collision in north Charlotte that left the driver of a Chevrolet dead Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the collision shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Reagan Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2011 Nissan Versa in the roadway.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained, according to a news release.
