CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are investigating a shooting in south Charlotte that left one man dead Saturday night.
Officers responded to a deadly weapon call for service shortly before 11 p.m. on Southern Loop Boulevard.
At the scene, officers located a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
The man, later identified as 46-year-old Edy Alvarado, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
