A dry cold front will move through Saturday evening bringing highs back to the 60s on Sunday
– New record high today as we hit 78 degrees in Charlotte. This beats the previous record of 75 which was set in 1998.

– Look for increasing rain chances and measurable rainfall mid week next week.
An area of high pressure will stay in control on Saturday with high temperatures topping out in the low to mid 70s. A dry cold front will push through the area Saturday evening which will drop highs on Sunday back into the 60s. On Monday we will see another cold front, but this one could bring isolated showers with it – nothing significant in terms of rainfall. It will usher in much cooler temperatures with highs on Tuesday only topping out in the low 50s. Our next best chance for widespread measurable rain comes on Wednesday. As of Friday afternoon models are projecting 1-3 inches of rain across the WCCB area. We need it! Temperatures will gradually rise through the end of next week and into the weekend.
