Enjoy the Warmer Weather, Cooler Temps Arrive Friday

[ad_1]

It will be another gorgeous day with temps climbing into the mid-70s this afternoon. Pleasant weather will stretch into Thursday, but clouds will begin to build by the afternoon ahead of a cold front. The rain is much needed with drought stretching across the Carolinas. However, this front won’t be bringing much rain to the area. An isolated sprinkle here or there late Thursday into Friday will be our best bet. Colder and breezy weather returns Friday. We will likely see a few burn bans posted by Friday, so please watch out for any local ordinances and refrain from campfires this weekend. Highs will barely reach the mid-50s Friday and Saturday with winds gusting out of the north 40-50 mph for the mountains. Another cold front will slide through the Carolinas Sunday night into Monday. This time, rain chances are a little better with scattered showers possible. Might see a quick dusting of snow for the higher elevations up to 1/2″ Monday morning. Much colder air settles in before the Thanksgiving holiday with highs struggling to break out of the 40s.
