CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) — The Humane Society of Charlotte will host their 13th annual Ties & Tails Gala, voted one of the Best Charity Events & Fundraisers by Charlotte Magazine’s 2021 BoB Awards. The second-consecutive virtual event will take place on Saturday, October 23 from 7-8 pm with an updated run-of-show to add new excitement to the digital experience.

Proudly supported by Diamond Collar presenting sponsor, HEARST, the Ties & Tails Gala endeavors to raise $200,000 to support the ongoing work of the life-saving organization.

“While we are sad we won’t be able to see everyone in person again this year, we are really excited about what we have planned! It will certainly be a night to remember,” said Kelsey Ruocco, HSC Events and Social Media Manager.

As in years previous, the evening’s festivities will include an exciting virtual live auction, and a digital silent auction made possible by auction sponsors Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Bids are now being accepted for the online silent auction and members of the community can participate regardless of their plans to attend the virtual event. This year’s event will also feature a crowd-favorite, the mystery Wine Pull, made possible by North Carolina Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law.

New this year, the program will feature a live acoustic performance from Grammy-nominated country music star, George Ducas and an adoptable pet red carpet preshow where guests can meet some of HSC’s most eligible adoptable animals.
Those wanting to participate in the Ties & Tails Gala can register up until the beginning of the event on Saturday, October 23. While the ROOTS dinner packages and Cabot Cheese trays are sold out, guests are still able to purchase Tito’s vodka drink packages through the end of the day today, Thursday, October 21 to enhance their Gala experience. To get registered, guests can visit tiesandtailsgala.org

The 2021 Ties & Tails Gala will mark the organization’s last signature event prior to moving to the new HSC Animal Resource Center, which is anticipated to open in the Spring of 2022. For more information on the new HSC Animal Resource Center, visit anewhomeforhsc.org.
