Live Nation To Require Negative COVID Test Or Proof Of Vaccination For Concert Attendees

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Live Nation announced that all of its fully owned and operated venues along with festivals across the U.S. will require attendees, artists and staff to be fully vaccinated or show a negative test result for entry starting on Oct. 4.

“Vaccines are one of the greatest tools for making sure that everyone can continue to enjoy live music together – and Live Nation rolled out new vaccine and testing protocols to support that effort,” the entertainment company said on their website.

Live Nation said the policies will apply everywhere possible and permitted by law.

Fans who plan to visit Live Nation concert will be required to show proof of full COVID vaccination or negative COVID test. In order to be considered fully vaccinated, fans need to have their last dose at least two weeks prior to event date, according to Live Nation officials.

Proof of vaccination or negative test will be checked prior to entering the venue.

Fans age 12 and under along with those with health conditions will need to show proof of negative test for entry ticket holders are being alerted directly with the details pertaining to their show.

Attendees who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear face coverings unless they are actively eating, drinking or are otherwise exempt from having to wear a face covering.

“As the global leader in live entertainment, Live Nation has been doing shows around the world throughout the summer where we put vaccine and testing protocols into practice, including Lollapalooza, Latitude, Camp Bestival and Wilderness,” Live Nation officials said. “Data has continued to show the approach successfully allows everyone to enjoy live music, while also inspiring more people to get vaccinated. For example, at Lollapalooza 90% of the festival’s 400,000 attendees showed up fully vaccinated, with 12% of those fans reporting that Lollapalooza was their motivation for getting vaccinated.”

Charlotte locations that this will effect include the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre and the PNC Music Pavilion.
