Mecklenburg County Government Employees At 84% Vaccination Rate





CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) — As of Oct. 11, 2021, 84% of Mecklenburg County employees are fully vaccinated. The latest data reflects a 10.2 percentage point increase in the overall vaccination rate, which was 73.8% on Sept.16, 2021.

Below is a breakdown of the rates based on employment status.

Full-Time – 84.4%
Part-Time – 81.0%
Temp. – 80.5%

The County’s vaccination rate is based on information taken directly from employee vaccination submissions to its Human Resources Department, not a survey. It does not include data from the Sheriff’s Office or the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library.

The County continues to require proof of vaccination or testing from all employees, in its continued effort to keep employees and members of the public safe from the spread of COVID-19.
