CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Legendary frontman for the iconic rock band The Rolling Stones was spotted ‘out and about’ last night in Charlotte at one of the city’s hidden gems.

Mick Jagger took to Twitter Thursday morning with a photo of himself enjoying a drink at the Thirsty Beaver Saloon on Central Avenue in Plaza Midwood.

The saloon is a neighborhood dive bar that has stuck to its roots and has over the years become a staple of consistency in the height of development in Charlotte. It can be found in front of an apartment complex that was built in 2017 still playing classic tunes and serving cold beers.

Just like the classics that are sometimes played at the bar, Jagger will be painting the Queen City black Thursday night as the Rolling Stones perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Uptown.

Jagger and the Stones are expected to perform in front of a large crowd at their pandemic-delayed “No Filter” tour which started up on Sunday in St. Louis. The tour was originally set to take place in 2020.

The tour includes stops in Pittsburgh, Nashville, Los Angeles, Tampa, Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlanta, Detriot and other major cities across the U.S.
