CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Children with disabilities now have a chance to play baseball this fall in Charlotte as the YMCA Miracle League kicks off its season at the Keith Family YMCA.

Every Saturday from October 2nd through October 23rd, players in this league can travel to play non-competitive baseball with assistance from a volunteer buddy who helps them bat, field, and run bases.
Fans are invited to come to these free Saturday games to cheer on these inspiring players and amazing athletes.
YMCA officials say there will be two games held each Saturday at Keith Family YMCA on Old Mallard Creek Road in Charlotte, with the first game starting at 9 a.m. and the second game starting at 10:30 a.m.
Officials say the YMCA Miracle League was created in 2012, when the YMCA of Greater Charlotte and Miracle League teamed up to create league that would give children with disabilities a chance to play baseball.
YMCA officials say “We place children on a team of between 10 and 12 baseball players for games that last approximately one hour. Our custom-designed baseball complex hosts Charlotte’s first completely wheelchair accessible surface that allows children of all abilities to take the field. Because every child deserves to play baseball.”
