Mount Holly Remembers Fallen Officer With Blue Lights, Nearly One Year After Death





MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. – Nearly one year after his death, a community is coming together again to honor a fallen officer.

You’ll see blue lights throughout the city of Mount Holly all week as the community remembers Officer Tyler Herndon.

He died December 11, 2020, after being shot while responding to a breaking and entering call.

Officer Herndon was only 25 years old.

Homes, churches, and businesses will shine the lights through this Saturday, in his honor.

At 5:00 p.m. that day, a memorial plaza will be dedicated to Officer Herndon in Mount Holly.
