Much Colder Tuesday – WCCB Charlotte’s CW

[ad_1]

AM Headlines:

  • Dropping temps behind cold front
  • Partly sunny, dry, and cool Tuesday
  • Rain chances return for some overnight into early Wednesday
  • Warming up late week w/ better rain chances this weekend

Discussion:

It’s a chilly start with temps dropping rapidly behind a cold front that brought little rain to the area. The breeze is making it feel even colder, but winds will die down through the morning. Highs will be 15 degrees cooler than yesterday – only reaching the low 50s. Another disturbance will bring the chance for a few showers tonight into early Wednesday. Still though, not banking on any drought-busting rain from this next system. Temps will creep back into the 60s Friday where yet another series of disturbances will bring the chance for rain. This time around it looks a little better to grab 1/2 to 1″ of rain. It won’t end our drought, but any little bit will help. Plan on keeping the umbrella around this weekend as showers will be on and off from Friday afternoon through early Sunday. After reaching highs in the low 70s Saturday, it will be back to average with temps in the upper 50s to start off the next week.
