Much Cooler Air Spills Into the Region

– We have several opportunities this week for rain, but nothing widespread or drought busting.
– Statewide burn ban continues.
– Temperature roller coaster this week.

A cold front will move across the region this evening bringing widely scattered showers with it. This is not a drought busting rain as most of it will break up as it tracks over the Mountains. This front will bring cooler temperatures – expect overnight lows to bottom out in the mid 30s with overnight decreasing clouds. Tuesday will be sunny, dry and much cooler as high temperatures only top out in the low 50s. Wednesday’s system does not look as impressive as models projected last week. Scattered showers will swing through the area, but nothing widespread – we will take what we can get! A ridge of high pressure will build in on Thursday ahead of another weekend system.

Tonight: Few PM showers / cold front. Overnight decreasing clouds. Low: 36.Wind: Shifting 10-20.

Tuesday: Sunny. Cooler. High: 53. Wind: NE 5-10.

Tuesday PM: Increasing clouds. Few late showers. Low: 37.Wind: Calm.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers. High: 52.

Have a great week!
