SARASOTA CO., FL. – Florida authorities admit mistakes were made in the investigation into Brian Laundrie. He was considered a person of interest regarding the death of his fiancé, Gabby Petito. But these apparent lapses by police might have played a factor in their inability to question Laundrie before his own death.
Authorities never explicitly linked Laundrie to Petito’s death but say he was among the last people who saw her before she died. Police say he also used her bank card after her disappearance.
