CHARLOTTE — A Rock Hill mother says she fought off an attacker who tried to drag her into the woods in Rock Hill.
It happened Monday night as Najee Toliver was walking to work around 9:30 p.m. along Automall Parkway. She says out of nowhere, a man ran up behind her, and tried to grab her. Toliver says she and that attacker began to fight in the street. She says he tried to drag her near some woods, and pull her pants down.
Toliver says she managed to grab her gun out of her backpack and fired several shots at him. The attacker ran away. Toliver also ran to a nearby gas station to get help.
“One of us was gonna be down. And, I just chose that wasn’t gonna be me,” says Najee Toliver, who survived the attack.
Toliver has a few fractured ribs, but she’ll be ok.
Rock Hill Police charged 18-year-old Antavis Dickerson for that attack and the sexual assaults of five other women over the past two months. He remains behind bars without bond.
