HOUSTON, TX — The Carolina Panthers took care of the Houston Texans winning 24-9 Thursday night to start a season 3-0 for the first time since 2015.

But the win didn’t come without some big injuries. Christian McCaffrey left the game in the 2nd quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return. The severity and timetable for a return is unknown but following the game head coach Matt Rhule said it was a hamstring strain.

The defense saw injuries as well. Rhule confirmed that rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn broke multiple bones in his foot, he had to be carted off the field in the 3rd quarter.

Carolina will have the luxury of a few extra days off between games, they will travel back to Texas and play the Cowboys on Sunday October 3.
