Sunny and Pleasant Start to the Week

If sunny skies and pleasant temps in the 70s are your jam, then you should take advantage of the gorgeous weather to start the week. Highs Monday will reach the low 70s. Overnight lows will fall into the mid-40s with a seasonable Tuesday on tap. Temps will creep into the upper 60s Tuesday afternoon. An approaching cold front will bring breezy and cooler temps Wednesday with highs only reaching the mid-50s. Isolated rain chances Wednesday.

Mid-Week Cold Front

First taste of wintry weather for the mountains?

Rain chances will increase overnight into Thursday. With colder air already in place, there is the possibility of our first taste of wintry weather for the mountains Thursday morning. Not expecting much of an accumulation, but a brief changeover might take place, making roads slick for the higher elevations. Rain will become more steady through the day Thursday into Friday. Highs will struggle to break out of the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Frosty Weekend

Rain will wrap up Friday afternoon, but chilly temps will take hold as overnight lows tumble into the low to mid-30s this weekend. The growing season in the mountains has ended, but there is potential for a frost/freeze across the foothills/Piedmont this weekend. Sunny and warmer days will take hold with highs in the mid-50s Saturday. It will warm to the low 60s Sunday, but this is still well below our average high of 68 for this time of year.
