HICKORY, N.C. — Police are searching for two suspects after they attempted to use a logging chain to break into a bank ATM in Hickory on Wednesday.

Hickory Police were notified of a suspicious car in the parking lot of BB&T/Suntrust Bank on N. Center Street around 4 a.m.

Officers say as they approached the bank they noticed two slender men wearing black jackets, pants, and toboggans running from the parking lot leaving a car behind.

The car was a champagne colored 1999 Ford F250 truck that had been reported stolen out of Elkin, N.C., according to a news release.
