Pride Prom: The Neon Beyond At Resident Culture Brewing In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Resident Culture Brewing Company in Charlotte is holding their first Pride Prom with drag performances, a live DJ, a photo booth, raffles, prizes, and more this Saturday.

Pride Prom, benefiting Transcend Charlotte, will be held at the brewery on Central Avenue from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (all ages welcome).

Venue officials remind anyone attending the prom to bring cash to tip performers as Resident Culture is a cashless business.

Guests will be encouraged to dress in neon/trippy attire to match the “The Neon Beyond” theme.

Officials say the brewery will also broadcast the @cltpride Live Pridestream all night for attendees.

Venue officials say the suggested donation to attend is $5 to $10 (cash and Venmo accepted), with all ticket and raffle proceeds to benefit Transcend Charlotte.

Transcend Charlotte is a nonprofit dedicated to pursuing equity and social justice for transgender and gender expansive communities through education, advocacy, mental health, and social support services.

Resident Culture will also be releasing two new beers on Saturday including:

  • Soft Power: A hazy west coast freshly hopped IPA | 7 percent ABV
