Raccoon Tests Positive For Rabies In South Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A rabies alert was sent out to residents on or near Carter Creek Drive in Charlotte at 7 p.m. after a raccoon tested positive for rabies in the area, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control.

This is the 17th animal in 2021 to test positive for rabies in Mecklenburg County.
