All is looking good for the Falcon 9 launch of Crew-3 just after at 9:03 pm EST Wednesday from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. NASA astronauts Raja Chari, Tom Marshburn, Kayla Barron, and European Space Agency astronaut Matthias Maurer will soon begin their journey to the International Space Station.
This comes just days after Crew-2 returned to Earth.
Check out these amazing photos of their return:
The launch on Wednesday evening will be visible in the southeast sky, but it will not be anything spectacular due to the timing of the launch. When launches occur near sunrise or sunset the sun illuminates the vapor trail leaving a beautiful and vibrant display. Since this launch is planned for 9:03 PM, there will be no sun, therefore, it will look like a faint orange dot.
Clouds look to hold off across the Carolinas so look southeast minutes after 9 PM and you may be able to see the small moving dots during the separation stages.
