MAIDEN, N.C. — Two people have been arrested after police seized over 100 pounds of marijuana along with other several drugs, guns and thousands of dollars in cash Monday morning in Maiden.
The Maiden Police Department obtained a search warrant for an East Holly Street home around 11 a.m. Monday. The search warrant was served as a result of an ongoing investigation by Maiden Police as well as tips and complaints from community residents.
Police said 101 pounds of packaged marijuana, 5 pounds of marijuana edibles, 15 ounces of psylocibin mushrooms, 15 grams of cocaine, two assault rifles, one pistol, and approximately $9,000 in cash was seized during the search.
Police arrested and charged 22-year-old Christian Parker and 21-year-old Alexis Lineberger with felony trafficking marijuana. Both Parker and Lineberger were held at the Catawba County Detention Center, police said.
The investigation is still underway by Maiden Police with additional charges anticipated.
