Veteran’s Day Brings Midday Showers and Overnight Storms

[ad_1]

AM Headlines:

  • Showers return this afternoon
  • PM Rumbles
  • A cooler and dry weekend
  • Snow chances for the mountains Sunday night into Monday

Discussion:

A cold front will bring more clouds and moisture to the region today. Rain is needed as moderate drought conditions will likely take cold of a wider area with the newest drought outlook out this morning. Rain shouldn’t impact any morning veteran’s day plans, but showers will pick up late afternoon becoming steadier tonight. About 1/2″ of rain will be likely – not enough to end the drought, but any little bit will help. Drying out Friday with highs in the low 70s. Much cooler this weekend with highs in the low 60s Saturday. A reinforcing cold front will bring even cooler temps Sunday into next week. Not a lot of moisture with this system, but we could see a quick dusting of snow for the higher elevations. Chilly next week with highs in the mid-50s and overnight lows in the low to mid-30s.
