Wedged between uptown and South End, the city’s first streetcar suburb has tree-lined streets, bungalows, and dozens of dining options that make it difficult to decide where to eat. Walk up East Boulevard, and you have your choice of lamb burgers, pad thai, or enchiladas. Along Park Road you’ll find gourmet burgers, neopolitan pizza, and buckets of beer to enjoy while you watch the big game. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you’ll find something to enjoy in Charlotte’s original suburb.

Inizio Pizza Napoletana
Two words: pistachio pizza. Seriously, try it. Then grab a spot on the patio beneath the bistro lights and enjoy a bottle of wine with friends. There are additional locations in Providence Commons and Huntersville, too. 2230 Park Rd., 704-900-0929

Konnichiwa
This sushi, steak, and seafood restaurant opened in the former Inishmore space in April. Despite its prime location on East Boulevard, this spot has had a lot of turnover in the last five years. Before it was Inishmore, it was The Rogue. Before that, East Boulevard Bar & Grill. But Konnichiwa caters to both sushi fanatics and non-sushi eaters with a menu of bento boxes, ramen noodles, and hibachi bowls, plus a roster of Charlotte-themed rolls like the Juicy Jay, Hornets, and CLT Roll.  1315 East Blvd., Ste. 130, 980-498-0420

Dilworth Tasting Room
On a warm summer night, savor a glass of chardonnay on Dilworth Tasting Room’s outdoor patio, a peaceful courtyard with a koi fish pond. A few of the favorites on the menu: the decadent truffled cheese melt, the roasted chicken breast, and the robust cheese and salumi lists. 300 E. Tremont Ave., 704-595-3337

Bonterra
Its setting may be a historic Southern church, but Bonterra serves up modern Southern flavors with top-notch service. Wine lovers will be impressed by the more than 200 wines by the glass. 1829 Cleveland Ave., 704-333-9463

Copper
Classic Indian dishes and creative specials are served in a homey dining room, with service that’s nearly always on point. 311 East Blvd., 704-333-0063

300 East
There’s always a lively crowd in this old home-turned-restaurant, enjoying hearty American fare or a salad to save room for some of the city’s best desserts. 300 East Blvd., 704-332-6507

Fat Cat Burgers + Bakeshop
Longtime favorite Fran’s Filling Station reopened with a new name and a walk-up donut window, where a dessert case brims with maple bacon donuts and confetti cookies straight from the oven. The revamped menu has loaded burgers, sandwiches, and salads. But don’t worry, you can still order old favorites like the New South Fried Chicken Sandwich and Fran’s famous Bacon-Wrapped Tater Tots. 2410 Park Rd., 704-372-2009

Kid Cashew
This bright and rustic restaurant from the owner of Georges Brasserie serves meat family-style from a wood-fired grill and a selection of small plates. The lamb burger is more satisfying than anything from a drive-thru, and the super grain and avocado salad is a healthy weeknight dinner when you just don’t feel like cooking. 1608 East Blvd., 704-208-4148

Ed’s Tavern
This Dilworth mainstay has drink specials every night of the week—stop by for $4 on Tuesdays, $15 Bud Light buckets on Sundays, or choose from 32 taps of regional craft beer. Order some jumbo wings or $3 tacos and find your game on one of over 30 big screen TVs. 2200 Park Rd., 704-335-0033

Dilworth Neighborhood Grille
This wood-paneled, two-level sports bar is the place to take your family for no-frills burgers, wings, and beer on game day. 911 E. Morehead St., 704-377-3808

Dolce Osteria
This classic, cozy, family-run neighborhood trattoria serves a mix of fresh, regional Italian cuisine and a tidy, all-Italian wine list. 1710 Kenilworth Ave., 704-332-7525

Fern, Flavors From the Garden
Fern moved from Plaza Midwood to Dilworth in mid-2016. It still has ferns on the wall, and the menu is still full of flavorful vegetarian cuisine. 1419 East Blvd., Ste. A., 704-377-1825

Fiamma Restaurant
The open layout lends an air of conviviality to this slick eatery, which has house-made pastas, thin-crust pizzas, note-perfect risotto, and daring meat entrées. 2418 Park Rd. 704-333-3062

Lebowski’s Neighborhood Grill
Dishes at this neighborhood favorite include burgers, brats, and the popular “Beef on Weck.” 1524 East Blvd., 704-370-1177

Bakersfield
Inspired by the country western music of the Bakersfield sound, this casual neighborhood spot serves authentic Mexican street fare and over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys. 1301 East Blvd., 980-938-8565

Thai Taste
Come for lunch, dinner, dine-in, or takeout and feast on curries, stir fries, and noodle dishes that can be made as spicy you want. 324 East Blvd., 704-332-0001
