[ad_1]

A chilly rain (and even some snow) arrives by the end of the week.

It’s been rough getting there, but sunshine has triumphantly returned to the Carolinas just in time for our Halloween Sunday. With the brighter skies comes more seasonable temperatures, but don’t expect our newfound warmth to last much longer. A dry cold front sweeps in by Wednesday, dropping highs from near 70º to the mid-50s in the Piedmont for the back half of the week ahead.

While rain chances remain minimal through midweek, a more moisture-laden system sweeps in from the southwest Thursday and Friday. Expect a chilly rain in the Piedmont to close out the first week of November, while the High Country could see its first widespread measurable snowfall of the season. For now, most snow totals look to remain under 2″ through the weekend. Stay tuned!
