RALEIGH, N.C.– North Carolina’s department of transportation is poking fun at the state of Ohio. The Buckeye state recently updated the design on its license plates for the first time since 2013.

The new plates pay tribute to Orville and Wilbur Wright who were from Dayton, Oh. The Wright brothers are known for the first flight in a manned aircraft. Ohio’s Bureau Of Motor Vehicles is apologizing for the mistake that appears on the new plates.

If you look closely you can see that the banner is attached on the wrong end of the plane. North Carolina could not help but have a little fun at the state of Ohio’s expense.

The NCDOT posted a funny tweet saying “Y ‘all leave Ohio alone. They wouldn’t know. They weren’t there.
